Pioneers Festival 2012: Vienna is hotspot for innovative companies

Poineer Festival 2012
August 29, 2012

The place for more than 2,500 pioneers from all over the world as well as web, technology and mobile start-ups to network, present their innovations and exchange experiences.

The Pioneers Festival 2012 , to be held from 29th to 31st October in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace, will see more than 2,500 international innovation-pioneers and young entrepreneurs come together. Europe’s largest start-up event aims to drive a close-knit community and highlight just how lively and exciting business and technology can be. Another goal is to gradually establish Vienna as a hub for start-ups.

Around 60 leading innovators from all over the world will be sharing their experiences and giving an insight into their professional secrets on two stages. Different technologies will be presented alongside discussions on trends and developments. The “Startup Academy” will run at the same time, covering everything to do with entrepreneurship and giving web, technology and mobile start-ups important tips on how to realise their business ideas on the market.

The undisputed highlight of the festival will be the Startup Challenge, where Europe’s 50 best web, tech and mobile start-ups go head to head. At the “Challenge Kickoff Day” they will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and coaching with professional mentors to help prepare for when they present their own business idea to the expert jury. The Investors Day on 29th October will give the investors an exclusive chance to network with the start-ups; the 50 start-ups will pitch their ideas with the best 8 remaining at the end. These 8 will then be able to present their innovations to 2,500 international guests, business angels, representatives from venture capital firms and the media.
