STEELY BEAUTY
The cylindrical shaped steel-glass structure and the canopy forming the main entrance area will gobble up 110 tons of steel and 2,600 sq. m. of glass.
At 44,000 sq. m., the NCC will be the largest single-use building constructed in Dublin in decades and is to match the grandeur of the Four Courts and the Custom House. A globally renowned company, Waagner-Biro’s portfolio includes collaboration with some of the world’s leading architects such as Norman Foster and Murphy/Jahn. This time they are joining up with Irish-born architect and Pritzker prize winner Kevin Roche. The National Conference Centre is scheduled to be completed in 2011.
