Visionary architecture for cities and museums

When roofs turn into clouds and houses turn into crystal sculptures, then the architects of COOP HIMMELB(L)AU have been at work.

COOP HIMMELB(L)AU was founded by Wolf D. Prix and partners in 1968 and specialise in architecture, urban planning, design and art. The company is now one of the world's most prestigious architectural firms.

The impressive projects designed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU include the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, the BMW-Welt in Munich, the UFA movie complex in Dresden, the Akron Art Museum in Ohio, the Dalian International Conference Center in Dalian and the Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition in Shenzhen, China.

By 2014, the Vienna design visionaries want to enrich the Frankfurt skyline with the new construction of the European Central Bank with a deconstructivist exclamation mark.

World-renowned institutions like the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles, the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna and the Centre Pompidou exhibit works by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU in their permanent exhibitions.
