In the 1960s Palfinger built the first hydraulic truck-mounted crane. This was followed by a wave of innovative developments in folding and extension systems and in the 1980s the company's export rate was already at over 90%. Today Palfinger is the world leader in hydraulic lifting, loading and handling systems.
Palfinger’s truck-mounted knuckle boom crane is one of Palfinger's most successful products. In this area of production the company is the world market leader with a market share of over 30%.
Palfinger is also the world's largest manufacturer of container handling systems and forestry cranes. The multinational group, headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, has manufacturing and assembly sites in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
