Digitalising freight services

What’s the best way of managing the constant expansion of freight traffic in the future? That’s the question that has been occupying young Austrian start-up D3EIF – and one thing is certain: digitalisation and networked solutions are as a big topic in the transport sector as they are in other industries.

A good network is vital for keeping track of running costs, orders and staff. Keeping on top of all this is particularly important in the transport industry because of the large number of business processes involved. D3EIF provides software and hardware solutions for more effective fleet management and targeted monitoring of vehicles and freight.

D3EIF’s there core products are called Transam, Businesscare and 3F Mobile. Transam is the name given to the hardware responsible for data capture and dissemination, which integrates with the Businesscare software to support processes from order logging and transportation to journey costing analysis. Here, the major communications channels such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and email are brought together on one screen. The 3F mobile app is the last link in the chain, providing a clear visual overview of all the information.

Rooted in Upper Austria, in use worldwide is the title chosen by the OÖ (Upper Austria) Export Center for the project it has launched in conjunction with the “Gründen” online platform and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA to find the best international start-ups. In total, 21 of the hottest international start-ups from Upper Austria are to be selected for an award.
