Unlimited piano music at a flat-rate price

OKTAV is a service providing piano sheet music. The company makes bespoke recommendations and offers a wide selection of different piano scores. An intelligent platform matches the tunes selected to the skill levels of the user.

It can often be expensive and difficult to get your hands on the right music, as many musicians know. However, things just got a little easier, at least for pianists, and it’s all thanks to OKTAV , the first streaming service for musical scores.

There have been streaming services for TV series and music for a while. They are becoming increasingly popular, and it was the success of this model that inspired David Kitzmüller and Toni Luong, OKTAV’s founders and the duo who wanted to provide professional and amateur musicians with simple and affordable access to sheet music.

Signing up to OKTAV opens the door for musicians to every piano piece they ever wanted to play. A fixed monthly subscription provides digital access to all the music in the catalogue, and two scores can be downloaded per month. A further feature is that the pieces suggested are tailored to suit the abilities and musical taste of each subscriber.

There are plans to work with high-profile music publishers to expand the back catalogue still further in the future, but one thing is certain: the greater the selection of pieces, the more fun it is to play Music.

Rooted in Upper Austria, in use worldwide is the title chosen by the OÖ (Upper Austria) Export Center for the project it has launched in conjunction with the “Gründen” online platform and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA to find the best international start-ups. In total, 21 of the hottest international start-ups from Upper Austria have been selected for an award.
