Getzner Werkstoffe goes from strength to strength

20. April 2016

The Austrian company is one of the world’s leading experts in vibration and shock insulation in the rail, construction and industrial sectors.

You’ll find the Getzner Werkstoffe experts hard at work wherever vibration or shock insulation is needed. In Ecuador, for example, the company has installed a vibration protection solution for a tram line in the historic Old Town of Cuenca, which forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another successful project was completed in 2015 with a vibration protection solution for a stretch of track beside the Weston GO Station in Ontario, Canada, and Getzner is involved in several projects in Brazil and China, including setting up test tracks for high-load trains. A new branch office has also opened in France.

The vibration isolation experts have also been busy elsewhere, with notable projects including work on the Gotthard Base Tunnel and London Underground as well as power stations, railway lines, machinery, skyscrapers, ships, theatres or residential blocks all over the world.

Getzner enjoyed success in all three of its business sectors (rail, construction and industry) in 2015, with rail once again generating the greatest turnover. Major projects such as mounting a 170-on piece of machinery in France have boosted profits in the industrial sector.

In total, the company recorded a total turnover of some EUR 78 million in 2015 (up 11%), with its increased market presence in Europe, Asia and North America playing a decisive role in its success. In addition to facilities in Austria and Germany, Getzner has subsidiaries in China, France, India, Japan, Jordan and the USA. Getzner’s products are represented by its partners in 35 international markets, and the firm’s export ratio stands at 85%.
