The annual export prizes recognise the extraordinary achievements of Austrian companies on international markets. They have been awarded by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs since 1994. This year’s gold award in the “transport and traffic” category went to BEAT THE STREET Phillip Jörg Touring Services GmbH.

BEAT THE STREET is a specialist transport provider for music acts and their support crews. U2, the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Lady Gaga are just some of the rock and pop stars to have toured Europe in one of its specially adapted buses.

The company operates an impressive fleet of luxuriously equipped buses and limousines that have been exclusively developed for the entertainment industry. Their vehicles are like a hotel on wheels for touring artists, with upmarket features such as leather interiors, sleeping berths, showers, a kitchen and state-of-the-art entertainment ensuring every member of the band and every roadie travels in the lap of luxury.

It is not just BEAT THE STREET’S exclusive features that have proved a hit with its customers, but also its expertly trained drivers, and the company puts extra effort into assigning drivers it knows will get on well with specific stars and their teams.

The company now also provides buses for single-day use and an exclusive fleet of cars for shuttle journeys. Depending on the model, between 12 and 70 people can be transported in comfort and the fleet can be booked anywhere in Europe. The company has offices in Austria and the UK, 197 staff and a turnover of some EUR 32 million. Its export ratio stands at 98%.
