Studies have shown that some 30% of people in Europe suffer from an allergy.  Yet it is estimated that only between 5 and 10% are aware of their own allergy status and take appropriate precautions. In Austria and Germany, it currently takes around nine years for an allergy to be properly diagnosed. igevia provides reliable testing for 273 allergens.

The small blood sample required can easily be taken from your fingertip at home or at the doctor’s and you won’t need a stamp to post it to igevia’s partner laboratory. Analysis is carried out with cutting-edge technology known as ALEX - Allergy Explorer. The results are set out clearly in an individualised igevia allergen report and are used in conjunction with igevia’s symptom questionnaire as the basis for a medical consultation to determine the steps to be taken.

With igevia, co-founders Gerhard Feilmayr and Dominik Flener have both simplified local allergy testing and reduced the time to correct diagnosis for millions of allergy sufferers throughout Europe. igevia was launched on the Austrian market in April 2018 and is currently expanding into Germany, the UK and Ireland.
