The municipality of Prishtina plans investments in public transport

The municipality of Prishtina is planning to purchase 51 new buses.

Municipality of Pristina intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [the Bank] for a project to improve the urban public transport in Pristina by modernization of the Trafiku Urban (the public transport company own by the Municipality) bus fleet. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 12.25 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods:

• Procurement of 51 new low-entry diesel EURO-VI standard compliant buses

Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2015.
