Austrian Company ThermoWhite sponsored Latvian Construction Industry's Annual Award 2015

15. March 2016

The winners of two contests - “Latvian Construction Industry's Annual Award 2015” and “Civil Engineer of the Year in Latvia 2015” were announced on the 10th of March during a solemn ceremony in the palace of culture “Ziemelblazma”.

Ninety-five applications for buildings, engineering structures and public outdoor space projects implemented during 2015 either in Latvia or by Latvian companies abroad were qualified for the contest “Latvian Construction Industry's Annual Award 2015”. This is the biggest number in recent years. The mission of the contests is to promote good building practice, combined with aesthetic and harmonious architecture. The event’s messages to the public is to show constructions which are safe, innovative and qualitative.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of state institutions, municipalities, construction industry, foreign chambers of commerce and embassies. One of the awards was presented by The Commercial Counsellor of Austrian Embassy in Latvia, Herwig Palfinger.

This is due to the fact that one of the sponsors of the event was the Austrian company ThermoWhite . ThermoWhite offers a heat insulation material with impact in noise improvement characteristics, which due to join-free laying also provides level equalization and flush pipe sheathing that prevents noise and cold bridges. The company is represented in Latvia by ThermoWhite Balltic

ThermoWhite technologies are already in use in various prestigious buildings in Latvia, among them in the concert hall project Great Amber, which is realized by the Austrian architect Volker Giencke. In the contest “Latvian Construction Industry's Annual Award 2015” the Great Amber was awarded for the best acoustic solutions. We are proud to mention also that the whole technical equipment for the Great Amber was supplied by the Austrian Company Waagner-Biro Austria Stage Systems AG.
