The Vorarlberg family-run company Ölz goes against the tide of the economic crisis with delicious baked goods - the previous year saw Ölz increase revenues by 15% and sharp increases are also expected for this year.

Master baker Ölz GmbH from Dornbirn in Vorarlberg sells 210 million units a year from a wide range of baked goods. And not only in Austria – exports account for around a third of all goods produced by this family-run company and exports are the driving force behind the company’s growth. Despite the global economic turbulence, Ölz managed to boost revenues by 15% in the last business year. What is remarkable about this rise is that Ölz rose by 7% on the domestic market, while foreign revenue rocketed by a sensational 35%.

For this year the master baker is also expecting a turnover increase of at least 5%. The family-run company was founded by Rudolf Ölz in 1938 and today employs around 800 staff; it is one of Central Europe’s leading manufacturers of baked goods and sliced bread, offering a range of over 100 products.
