GREENoneTEC'S pilot project in Nigeria gets commissioned by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Thermal solar collectors supply clean water for school in Plateau State

The leading Austrian supplier of thermal solar solutions, GREENoneTEC, won an international tender to supply the Kuru school with clean hot water. Kuru is a town in the North Central Nigerian Plateau State, not far from its capital Jos. The project was implemented in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing and co-funded by the European Union and the German Government. In September 2017, 68 thermosyphon plants with 200 and 300 liter storage tanks were installed at the site. Local technicians were trained by the GREENoneTEC team in order to support installation and carry out future maintenance of the plant.

GREENoneTEC's innovative thermosyphon solutions are ideal for supplying hygienic hot water in regions where the electric grid is not stable or does not exist.

Formerly, only untreated water from wells using hand pumps was available to about 1000 students and employees of Kuru school.

GREENoneTEC is the world's largest manufacturer of solar thermal collectors with an annual production capacity of 1.6 million m² of collector surface and more than 25 years of experience in the solar industry.
