Energy Globe Award 2014: Looking for sustainable innovation projects from all over the world

1. October 2013

ENERGY GLOBE is one the world's most acclaimed environmental awards, giving recognition to sustainable innovation projects from across the world every year. Submissions of innovative projects are now being accepted for 2014.

The goal of the ENERGY GLOBE Award is to present successful, sustainable best-practice projects to a wider public and highlight the fact that many practical solutions to environmental problems already exist. Every year more than 1000 projects from around 160 countries take part in the awards.

The search is on once again in 2014 for innovative, trailblazing projects and smart technology from across the globe, projects which conserve resources and use renewable energy. Anyone can submit a project – individuals, companies, schools, universities and institutions. Submissions are free of charge. Due to numerous requests and to give all interested parties a chance to participate, the deadline for submission of projects has been extended until 14th October, 2013.

The best projects from each country win a national ENERGY GLOBE Award, to be presented on ENERGY GLOBE’s global online platform on the World Environment Day (5th June).

The international ENERGY GLOBE Awards are then given to the best projects in the categories Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth and presented to the winners in a televised gala broadcast across the world. The first prize in each category is endowed with EUR 10,000.
