Given the current situation, the Franchise Fair will be held as an online event for the first time this year, making the franchise scene the first to react among the commercial and professional trade fairs.

The special feature of this year’s Franchise Fair is the combination of online and live discussion, with a host of presentations dealing with every aspect of franchising basics, law and financing available as live events.

Once again this year there will be opportunities to meet interesting exhibitors and a wide range of networking partners, including well-known brands such as RE/MAX, Subway, Ankerbrot, Unimarkt and McDonald´s, as well as new players such as Piyoma, Kono Austria or atempo, the social franchising system.

The fair is aimed at anyone considering setting up in business for themselves, companies wishing to expand, and the franchise scene as a whole.

All the information you need for registration, programme scheduling and technical implementation for this year’s Franchise Fair is available from the event website .

Franchising is going from strength to strength in Austria. At the end of 2019, the Austrian Franchise Association (the fair’s partner organisation) published new figures that show there are some 480 franchise brands operating on the Austrian market, with a total of 9,400 franchise holders employing an impressive 87,300 staff across some 11,700 business locations.

The Austrian franchising sector is significant on both an international and local level, with one third of the country’s franchise brands originating from other countries – a figure that is expected to rise. The fact that 91% of Austrian systems plan on taking on new franchise holders is further evidence of this dynamic growth.
