October 28 & 29, 2009: Network with European automotive manufacturers and suppliers

The 11th annual Graz Automotive Forum will take place this year on Thursday, October 28th and Friday, October 29th in Graz, Austria. This annual conference is for European car manufacturers and their suppliers. In addition, this event also provides an excellent venue to network with important European automotive executives.

The 2009 keynote speaker will be Magna’s CEO, Siegfried Wolf. Executives from several well known automotive OEM’s such as Fiat, Daimler, BMW, VW, as well as important automotive suppliers, will also be present to discuss topics which are currently relevant to the automotive industry.

Some topics of discussion at the 2009 forum will include:

• What will be the effects of fewer OEM’s and suppliers in the automotive industry?
• How will OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers have to change their purchasing strategies as the industry continues to consolidate?
• What are the development and production timelines concerning alternative drive train vehicles?
• What is the current state of development relating to alternative fuels and energy technology and how do these technologies tie in with the trend towards reduced C02 emissions?
• Will vehicle sales continue to remain strong in CEE (Central & Eastern Europe) countries after the economic crisis ends?
• Is further expansion in CEE countries wise? How will overcapacity be reduced?
• What are the market trends in Southeastern European countries?
• What do today’s consumers expect from vehicle manufacturers?

Automotive Sector Manager, Chris Schluter, from the Austrian Trade Commission in Chicago will also be in attendance, providing a brief presentation on alternative drive-train trends in the United States.

Registration for this event can be completed here. ( The Austrian Trade Commission in Chicago would also be happy to answer any questions which you may have.
