International Home and Housewares Show 2019 in Chicago

March 6, 2019

Austrian companies Riedel and Juwel, represented by Exaco Trading, exhibit their products at the world’s largest housewares show

From March 2 to 5, 2019 the International Home and Housewares Show took place at the McCormick Place Exposition Center in downtown Chicago. The show featured 2,200 exhibitors in five expos and offered excellent education and benchmarking opportunities. With more than 60,000 visitors from over 130 countries, the International Home and Housewares Show is one of the most important housewares exhibitions in the world. The Austrian Trade Commission visited the Austrian companies Riedel and Juwel , represented by its distributor Exaco Trading, both exhibiting their world-class products.

Exaco Trading presented Juwel’s most prominent and successful product, their rotary clothes dryer, as the highlight of their booth. The high-quality products of Juwel, developed in Tyrol, Austria, meet highest quality standards while focusing on ease of use, eco-friendliness and durability. These aspects were successfully presented by directly demonstrating the qualities of the product to the visitors.

Products were put into four categories: “dine + décor,” “clean + contain,” “wired + well,” and “discover I DESIGN.” State of the art and global trends in housewares were presented next to design innovations and the opportunity for local businesses to source from abroad. “Global Sourcing Opportunities,” “Inventors Corner,” and “IHA Smart Home,” the other three show-within-a-show expos, were the highlights of the show. Companies from around the world, but mainly from China and Taiwan, demonstrated unlimited sourcing opportunities in the “International Sourcing Expo” while brand-new products sought their market entry by making their pitch in the “Inventors Corner.” At the “IHA Smart Home” pavilion, the future of housing and household appliances was presented with the focus on incorporating connectivity into every corner of our homes.

The International Home and Housewares Show 2019 offered attendees the unique opportunity to experience novel consumer lifestyle and the latest product trends for home and housewares under one roof. From March 14 to 17, 2020, the International Home and Housewares Show will again present global home and homeware innovations at Chicago’s McCormick Place Exposition Center. The future of housewares is waiting for you!
