Build’n Green 2026 is intended as a continuation of the GreenTech Days meet Future of Building 2024 success story, and the international event will bring together decision-makers, companies and experts from the building and sustainable construction sectors in more than 80 countries. The event has been organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, Enterprise Europe Network Austria and their partners.
The two-day conference will examine a new, practically orientated and future-focused approach addressing all aspects of the circular economy, sustainable construction and energy solutions against a background of international cooperation. B2B matchmaking will be a central component of the programme, enabling direction interaction with international business partners both at the venue in Vienna and online.
Thematic focus
The programme will follow the principles of the circular economy and is based around four key pillars:
- Resources & materials: timber construction, innovative materials, recycled materials, secondary raw materials, supply chains, renewable energy sources, supply security, etc.
- Planning, construction & financing: sustainable urban development, circular architecture, green tech solutions, financing, energy and network infrastructures, etc.
- Usage & operation: energy efficiency, building technology, energy-efficient renovation, industrial efficiency, use of AI, etc.
- Deconstruction, recycling & reuse: urban mining, deconstruction strategies, waste-to-energy, water treatment, etc.
In addition to keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops on current topics and trends, there will be themed excursions and all-day online B2B meetings on 29 April.
Sustainable and resilient approaches to reconstructing Ukraine will be a further focus, addressing infrastructure, urban development and new opportunities for international cooperation.
The evening reception will provide a festive setting for the Austrian Green Planet Building Awards® ceremony, in which especially energy-efficient and sustainable construction projects that are “made in Austria” and delivered internationally are recognised with prizes.
The conference language will be English.
