The Austrian Energy Globe Foundation annually awards Energy Globe Awards for excellent and sustainable projects in the field of environment and energy. The awards are given nationally and internationally in five different categories: globe, fire, water, air and youth. Today, the Energy Globe Award is the best-known global environmental award and more than 180 countries participate.
In the competition can be included in projects that focus on the conservation of natural resources, the improvement of air and water quality. Also projects, that show the efficient use of energy, the introduction of renewable energy sources and projects that raise public awareness of these themes.
