Austria together with other 14 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden) has signed a treaty to end internal border checkpoints and controls (Schengen treaty). With a Schengen visa you may enter one country and travel freely throughout the Schengen zone.
Indonesian citizens need a visa in order to be able to enter Austria respectively the Schengen zone.
If you intend to visit only Austria you have to apply for the Schengen visa at the Austrian Embassy in Jakarta, Jl. Diponegoro 44, Menteng, Jakarta 10027, Tel.: 021/3193 8101, Office hours: daily 09:00 – 12:00 hrs. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries you have to apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your main destination. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries but do not have a main destination you should apply at the Embassy or Consulate of the country which is your first point of entry.
Please apply at least 4 weeks before your intended departure !
