bionic surface technologies designs and develops bionic surfaces to reduce fluid-dynamic resistance. This technology is utilised for various technical applications e.g. wind power turbines, aircraft and in sports.
It is based on a bionic foil whose special structure reduces drag in order to achieve significant improvements in the flow ratio. These reductions in drag can increase performance by up to 8%. The geometry of the component does not need to be altered. Further technologies for application to the surface structure such as coating or laser machining are undergoing development and initial deployment.
The second business area is multiphysical analyses, which are primarily based on Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulations.
