Company profile
Johannes Kepler University Linz is Upper Austria's largest educational and research institution with over 4,000 employees and more than 25,000 students.
The Department for Quantum Information and Computation at Kepler (QUICK) is conducting intensive research to tap into the disruptive potential of this emerging technology - especially in the fields of computer science and AI, as well as in sensor technology. A core focus is on hybrid quantum-classical algorithms that combine the best of both technologies.
Business opportunities
Quantum research at the highest international level
Funding from the EU (ERC) and Austria (FWF & FFG), as well as from private foundations (Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation) enables quantum research at the highest international level. The team currently consists of 5 male and 6 female scientists from 6 nations. Concrete projects include the development of new quantum-classical interfaces for (machine) learning with quantum data, as well as the use of quantum computers in electron microscopy to achieve (even) better resolution.
