Mühlböck Holztrocknungsanlagen GmbH was founded in 1982 by Kurt Mühlböck in Eberschwang (Upper Austria). From the very beginning, the company specialised in the development and production of efficient and energy-saving drying technologies for wood.
Today, Mühlböck is an international leader in this field. More than 13,000 drying plants are already successfully in operation worldwide.
All engineering and production steps are carried out in-house. Around 135 employees work at the main plant in Eberschwang and at the Hartberg site.

As a pioneer in the timber industry, Mühlböck wood drying systems have been proving for over 40 years how resource conservation in timber drying is possible at the highest level. Thanks to the development of innovative heat recovery systems, the Mühlböck range has reached the highest level of energy efficiency. This enables considerable energy, CO2 and resource savings in timber drying that far exceed those of conventional systems.
Whether in drying kilns, channel drying systems or belt dryers for drying chips and wood chips, Mühlböck's energy-efficient drying systems can achieve savings in heat consumption of up to 50%.
