SNOW EXPO JAPAN 2024
With around 60% of Austria’s territory being mountainous and with the Alps as the thriving centre of our winter sports industry, it is not surprising that Austria is one of the strongest players in the global outdoor and winter sports industry. This geographical advantage together with cultural innovation has helped Austria develop world-leading companies.
A large part of Austria’s success as an exporter of winter sports technologies and infrastructure to Japan builds on trust-based relationships with Japanese importers and clients. Japan is and has been one of the most important markets for Austrian makers of high-quality winter sports products.
As a matter of fact Austrian pioneers brought skiing to Japan more than 100 years ago. They kindled the passion for outdoor winter sports activities in Japan, which is the base for many of the partner-city agreements between Austria and Japan.
The Austrian pavilion will showcase products and solutions from B2C and B2B companies including consumer goods such as ski boards, snowboards, winter wear etc. as well as infrastructure solutions for winter sport resorts such as lifts, snow machines, access gates and digital solutions.
