AUSTRIAN WINE TASTING 2025

Known for their remarkable diversity, they range from crisp, mineral-driven whites like Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to elegant reds such as Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, as well as luscious sweet wines from regions like Burgenland. This broad spectrum reflects Austria’s varied terroirs and winemaking traditions, offering something unique for every palate.
This year, the Austrian Wine Tasting 2025 is scheduled to take place on July 22 at Togo Kinenkan in Tokyo.
From the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, Chairman Chris Yorke and his team, Patrick Eppacher and Dominik Braun, responsible for the Asian markets, are scheduled to visit Japan.
We hope you will take this opportunity to meet and connect with them in person.
Following the large-scale tasting event of 2019, this year’s tasting will once again be held in a producer-focused format.
More than 90 wineries will participate—60 of them in collaboration with 18 importers, and approximately 30 are wineries currently not yet imported to Japan.
Over 500 wines will be available for tasting at the venue.
Additionally, seminars will be held on the same day, featuring Kenichi Ohashi MW and Takenori Beppu, who both visited Austria in 2024,.
These sessions are designed to deepen your understanding of the current state of Austrian wine and to inspire broader use and appreciation of it in the Japanese market.
Whether you're considering adding Austrian wine to your portfolio or have been working with it for years, don’t miss this chance to experience the ever-evolving world of Austrian wine. We warmly invite you to join us!
