The mission began in Osaka with a B2B partnering event, where participants forged valuable connections with key players and stakeholders in the local life sciences industry. The Austrian companies then showcased their cutting-edge technologies and innovations at the Austrian Pavilion during BioJapan 2024 in Yokohama, Japan’s premier life sciences trade fair. This year over 18,000 medical professionals from Japan and abroad visited the exhibition. Throughout the mission, the Austrian participants engaged in around 180 meetings with Japanese companies, universities, and research institutions, opening up significant new business opportunities in Japan’s healthcare market.
