listen

In 2024, Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Action, Environment, Regions and Water Management signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Sustainable Forest Management and Wood Utilization. Based on this framework, the Special Forestry Training Course for Japanese Participants 2026 will be held in Austria, offering a unique opportunity to experience advanced Austrian forestry practices on site.

The program is organized in cooperation with the Traunkirchen Forestry Training Centre (Forest Education Centre), Upper Austria, and provides an integrated learning experience covering forest operations, timber harvesting, forest infrastructure, safety management and more.
