Austrian companies from the winter sports industry are already prominently represented in Central Asia (ski lifts, snowmaking systems, ticketing and access management, etc.). Nevertheless, there is still a lot of untapped potential, especially since the winter sports offering is expected to be greatly expanded in the next few years in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
In Kazakhstan, the Austrian winter sports infracture experts visited Shymbulak, Oi-Qaragai Lesnaya Skazka and Ak-Bulak and discussions were held with key decision-makers and resort management teams. In Uzbekistan, the business delegation visited Amirsoy, Chimgan-Beldersay-Nanay and also B2G discussions with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee about current and future tourism projects were part of the extensive program.
