Mechanical engineering is a driving factor for economic growth in Uzbekistan. The "UzMetalMashExpo" has been held annually in Tashkent since 2008 and is one of the most important trade fairs in the mechanical engineering sector in Central Asia. The industries covered by the fair include metallurgy and metal processing, mechanical engineering, welding technologies, wood processing, etc.
Advantage Austria Almaty organized a national exhibition stand and presented innovative technology solutions "Made in Austria". Following Austrian companies took part in the exhibition: Aichelin Group, Fronius International GmbH, Gebrüder Weiss GmbH, Kohlbach Energieanlagen GmbH and TeLo.
Over 80 international companies were represented at the exhibition and 4,000 business people and industry experts visited the fair.
