Emerging from the "Ottakringer Brewery, Yeast and Spirit Factory" ("Ottakringer Brauerei, Hefe- und Spiritusfabrik") founded in 1837, the yeast factory is still located on the premises of the "Ottakringer Brewery" in the heart of Vienna, where it produces baker's yeast, wine yeast, brewer's yeast, and a variety of specialty yeasts for a wide range of applications for the Austrian and international markets. In addition, Lallemand is a pioneer in the development and production of high-quality organic yeasts.
