The climate issue concerns everyone today. Responding to the growing problem is therefore crucial.
Fortunately, forward-looking solutions already exist. The Energy Globe Award - an Austrian initiative - puts such solutions in the spotlight every year, setting an example.
The "Energy Globe, World Award for Sustainability" is the world's most prestigious award for environmentally conscious projects and has been presented since 2000, currently in as many as 180 countries. The jury consists of members from the five participating continents and is chaired by Maneka Gandhi. The selection process is anything but easy; every year there are some 3,000 project entries, from which the best must be chosen.
The highlight is the presentation of the grand prize: the Energy Globe World Award. The preceding, national ceremonies are presented locally by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA: the official partner of the Energy Globe Foundation.
The Energy Globe Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to disseminate information about exemplary projects from all over the world as well as share knowledge about technologies and financial resources in the globalised world.
We must look to the future with positivity and motivation. Projects that protect the environment bear fruit for everyone, not least for those who lead the project themselves.
