In mid-April, a delegation of 16 Austrian participants visited the Eindhoven region, organised by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA in cooperation with the Automotive Cluster of Business Upper Austria and A2LT Lightweight Platform.
It kicked off with a convivial networking evening with walking dinner, where participants were able to network and exchange ideas with more than 20 invited, Dutch sector counterparts.
The setting for the evening was the DAF Museum in Eindhoven, which highlights the history and heritage of this well-known Dutch truck manufacturer. A tour of this small but fine museum was part of the package, of course!

The next day was all about the Automotive Week 2023 in Helmond, an international event where talents, professionals, governments, and knowledge institutions could meet and exchange knowledge through keynotes, panel discussions, deep dive sessions, demonstrations and stands of various exhibitors.
With a keynote from Mr Gerhard Meister (AVL List GmbH) and a deep dive session with Mr Werner Suppan (voestalpine Metal Forming GmbH), Austria also contributed to the success of this event.
The four-day trip was rounded off with interesting company visits to Ebusco (electric buses), VDL Special Vehicles (manufacturer of chassis and drivelines for heavy commercial vehicles), DAF Trucks (truck manufacturer), Additive Industries (additive metal production), PAL-V (manufacturer of gyrocopter-based flying cars) and Fokker Aerostructures (manufacturer of lightweight structures, modules, and landing gear for the aerospace industry).
