The presentation of the credentials, marked the official start of Ambassador Theuermann's mission to work with the embassy team to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

A few days earlier, the then future Austrian ambassador visited the offices of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, the commercial department of the Austrian embassy, and Österreich Werbung / Austria Tourism in The Hague. As both offices are housed under one roof, the visit was a good opportunity for an informal introduction to the staff of both organisations.

Ambassador Theuermann was delighted with the close cooperation between the two teams. ‘It is great to see how effectively the Austrian embassy, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA and the Austria Tourism Office are working together to promote Austria as a place of business in the Netherlands while strengthening Austrian tourism, which is already at a high level,’ he stressed. The Netherlands is Austria's second most important foreign tourism market after Germany.
