The annual Nordic Organic Food Fair takes place in Malmö in the middle of November - it is the only trade fair in the North, which revolves around organic food and drinks and it convinces with high quality of exhibitors, visitors and products presented. A steady increase in sales of organic food has been recorded for years; this underlines the importance of this excellent event. Austria has taken a leading position in the sector of organic agriculture in comparison to other European countries - 20% of the farmland is used for the cultivation of organic food, hence the number and variety of producers is correspondingly high.
