Several times a year the Austrian Commercial Office organizes so-called Austrian Business Circles (ABC).

These networking events provide an ideal platform for local and Austrian businesses to get together, meet new people and have a good time. The positive development of bilateral economic relations between Austria and Taiwan formed the ideal background for an Austrian Business Circle "Digital Innovation & Urban Technology & Green Energies" within the scope of "ReFocus Austria".

Despite pandemic-related restrictions, Austrian exports to Taiwan climbed almost 35% in 2021 to an all-time high of over EUR 780 million. High-tech products in particular are of great importance in bilateral  trade between Austria and Taiwan, which recorded a record volume of over EUR 1.8 billion last year.

The extremely positive development of bilateral economic relations formed the ideal background for an Austrian Business Circle "Digital Innovation & Urban Technology & Green Energies" within the scope of "Refocus Austria". The event was held on May 24 and provided an excellent platform for pointing out the successes and opportunities of the Austrian economy to company representatives and representatives of the Taiwanese administration.
