Austria has tightened its entry rules starting 20.12.2021

Travel to Austria  requires in addition to the vaccination certificate a negative PCR test result or a certificate of booster vaccination (3rd vaccination)

Everyone travelling to Austria needs to show following documents:
- Proof of full vaccination (2 jabs) OR proof of past infection AND
- A negative PCR test (valid for 72 hours) OR proof of a booster jab (booster is valid from the first day).

Entry without PCR test or booster jab:
- Proof of full vaccination or recovery as above
Pre-travel-clearance registration is necessary
- Self-isolation until you can show a negative PCR test (the test can be taken straight at the airport or at any other test site).

Entry without proof of vaccination or recovery:
-  Entry for touristic purposes or business travel is not possible
- Austrian and EU citizens and those with a residency in Austria can still enter but have to be in self-isolation for 10 days. The quarantine can be ended with a negative test on the 5th day
Pre-travel-clearance registration is necessary. 

Please always check the current travel regulations before the trip.

Please note that from 25 January 2021, FFP2 masks are mandatory in Austria in public places such as shops and other means of transport.
