AUSTRIAN STRATEGIC BUSINESS SUMMIT | Indo Pacific 2025 was held in Tokyo at the beginning of October. The event saw more than 300 delegates from 15 countries and the worlds of business, politics, diplomacy and science meet to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the region.
The Indo Pacific area is a recognised driver of international growth and an innovation hub; the region has increased its contribution to global GDP by some 60% over the last 25 years and almost 70% of the patents filed worldwide originate there. The two days of the summit were a perfect opportunity to swap notes about future cooperation and potential opportunities for further development.
Discussion ranged from geopolitics to gaps in the market and investment opportunities, and Austria was able to show its mettle as an attractive location for innovation - there is no disputing the country’s excellent reputation as a reliable business partner in the region.
Delegates reacted with great enthusiasm and the multi-regional event, which was organised by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, was a resounding success.
