This year's winner of the Energy Globe Award in Georgia, TSU Caucasus Alexander Tvalchrelidze Mineral Resources Institute, implemented a sustainable and outstanding project.
This project was carried out to develop an environmentally friendly technology for purifying thermal waters from hydrogen sulfide. Sulfur content was monitored in clients' homes. The technological process of purification was determined in the laboratory, sorbents and physicochemical parameters of the process were studied. Failed to test the technological process on the thermal water well and determine the regeneration conditions of the sorbents used. Tons of fuel will improve the ecological condition of the city, reduce ambient air and greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions of 1,200,000 tonnes, which will play a leading role in implementing climate change mitigation measures.

Special Honorary Energy Globe Certificate Georgia for the project "Innovation in metal construction production"
Besides the national winner for Georgia 2022, JSC Graali-92 also was awarded with a special honorary certificate for great work in the environmental field.
Most production facilities employ a great deal of energy. JSC Graali-92 has been operating in metal construction production since 1936. Throughout all this time the company managed to maintain its leading position in the industry. In 2021, the company decided to employ the technological advances in energy production by installing a solar power station that will cover up to 80% of the production energy requirement. With this new instalment the company will be able to save 650 MW/h in energy and avoid 250 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

Committed people all around the world develop solutions for the most pressing environmental problems of our time like resource scarcity, air and water pollution, erosion, climate change or dependence on fossil fuels. The national winners have one thing in common: all of them have understood that the environment is not protected by words but by action! Each one of us can contribute!
