From 25 to 27 April 2026, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA participated for the first time with an AUSTRIA stand at the Automation + Robotics Expo in Athens. In its second edition, the exhibition confirmed its role as a small but emerging specialized trade fair for automation, robotics, and industrial future technologies in Greece. With around 150 exhibitors and 10,000 trade visitors, the event provided a suitable platform to position Austrian machinery, automation, and Smart Factory solutions and to engage with the Greek Industry 4.0 community. The exhibition focused on technologies from machinery and plant engineering, automation, robotics, system integration, artificial intelligence, IIoT, cybersecurity, as well as startups and scale-ups.

Austrian companies participated through a catalogue presence at the AUSTRIA stand. The showcased solutions included machine and occupational safety (AVS‑Schmersal), enterprise modeling software (BOC), drive technology for mechanical and plant engineering (Lenze Austria), market entry and business development services (Ruttensteiner), and extrusion crossheads for the cable industry (Unitek).

The Automation + Robotics Expo attracted a compact yet highly relevant professional audience from more than 20 industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, plastics, metal processing, packaging technology, warehousing, and shipping. More than 60 qualified business contacts were established for the participating companies at the well attended AUSTRIA stand.

Highlights and impressions are captured in this short video.

The event is part of go-international, a joint initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
