Austria will present itself at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in Japan with its own pavilion under the motto "Composing the Future". The architecture and design were created by the Viennese architecture firm BWM Designers & Architects and were selected in an EU-wide competition. The general contractor is the Swiss company Nüssli, which specialises in pavilion construction. Tekken Corporation will be responsible for the construction work on the Expo site as the local construction partner.

The official go-ahead for realisation was given with the submission of the planning documents to the authorities in Osaka for the issue of the building permit. Construction of the 800 m² pavilion is scheduled to begin in spring 2024, around a year before the start of the upcoming world exhibition.
