The participants, who represented multiple industries, gained insight into the Dutch approach within their area of expertise through presentations and company visits.
The 12-member delegation, led by Ms Ingeborg Dockner and Mr Wolfgang Schwärzler, visited Startup Village and the Amsterdam Science Park, with presentations by Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) and startup Anywyse. Besides Amsterdam, the programme also included the port area around Rotterdam: Here, the group was welcomed by waste processing company AVR, was given a tour of the ECT Hutchinson Delta logistics terminal and the Port of Rotterdam Authority provided a presentation and tour of the ports. The day ended with a visit to the RDM Innovation Dock.
Lastly, the delegation visited Advantage Austria's office in The Hague, providing insight into the Dutch economy and its close relations with Austria. The Dutch office of Austrian Tourist Board also gave a presentation on marketing and advertising.
Of course, during the programme, which was jointly organised with Advantage Austria in The Hague, the useful was combined with the pleasant and included a tour of the Amsterdam canals and a visit to the Zaanse Schans.
Annual study trip Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce
As part of an annual study tour, the 'Information & Consulting' sector of the Chamber of Commerce of Lower Austria visited Randstad from 10 to 13 September last.
