The magnificent exhibition "Golden Boy Gustav Klimt. Inspired by Van Gogh, Rodin, Matisse.." is the result of a close collaboration between the Belvedere and the Van Gogh Museum, where the exhibition will be on view in 2022 (Oct 7th 2002 - Jan 8th 2023). In 2023 (Feb 3rd - May 29th), the Lower Belvedere will open a comprehensive presentation dedicated to prominent international artists who influenced the work of Gustav Klimt.
The Belvedere presented itself to top-class media representatives and the travel industry at the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam on the opening day of the exhibition "Golden Boy Gustav Klimt". The event was enhanced by the presence of the Austrian Ambassador Astrid Harz, CFO Wolfgang Bergmann and Angelika Czerny from Belvedere, and Edwin Becker, curator of the Van Gogh Museum. Co-sponsors of the event were ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA The Hague and Fabrique des Lumieres and organised by the Austrian Tourist Office in Amsterdam team together with the Belvedere.
As a sponsor, it was also a good opportunity for ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA The Hague to meet with managing directors of Austrian subsidiaries such as TGW or Rail & Sea as well as decision-makers from the business community who were invited by us to exchange ideas in a somewhat different setting than usual.
In the run-up to the exhibition opening and the event, there was extensive TV presence on RTL4, Nieuwssu and YouTube. The Van Gogh Museum has over two million visitors a year. Dutch people are not only enthusiastic winter sports fans, but also appreciate Austria's extensive cultural offerings.
