ADVANTAGE Austria Stockholm once again showed its colors by organizing an Austrian pavilion at Elmia Subcontractor in Jönköping (November 9-12). The pavilion was an excellent platform for MWS Aluguss, Metusan Turning and DMH Dichtungs- und Maschinenhandel, three Austrian companies with the firm intent to increase their footprint in the region. The largest supplier event in Scandinavia also provided a long awaited opportunity to compare notes and share information on current trends in the industry.
The general sentiment was very positive. The optimism stemming from full order books, however, seems somewhat clouded by bottlenecks in the supply of raw materials and components. The relocation of production capacities to Europe and the shortage of skilled labourwere widely discussedtopics which were also widely discussed.
