The Nordic Organic Food Fair (NOFF) is the central Nordic event on the future of organic and sustainable food. Located in Malmo, southern Sweden, the annual fair provides an excellent platform for certified organic food and natural health products in the region and acts as a gateway to the Nordic markets. Every year, the latest innovations from the industry are presented here to around 5,000 visitors. Numerous exhibitors, buyers, start-ups and key opinion leaders as well as the top dogs in the food retail trade come together and talk business, but also discuss about possible food revolutions and trends in the industry.

Austria was present with a large group stand with ten Austrian producers, showcasing their products. As in the previous year, the demand for the ten available places exceeded the supply and the appetite for the Nordic markets seems unbroken. Around 20 representatives of the exhibiting organic producers were supported by the local industry experts from Advantage Austria, Joachim Völkle (Stockholm), Johannes Gut (Copenhagen), and the AMA Marketing. The participation at the group stand offered Austrian exhibitors an attractive framework program with guided store checks in the major food retail chains in Sweden and Denmark, as well as a business dinner for networking with local experts to provide "Food for Thoughts", among others a keynote presentation by the Swedish food tech guru Johan Jörgensen.

Over three intensive days, the Austrian companies could explore the market and showcase themselves to an international audience. The good contacts and discussions with buyers from supermarkets and wholesalers in the food and beverage industry once again prove the interest in high-quality food and drinks from Austria and the high value of the fair as a unique opportunity for Austrian producers to forge new business contacts.
