DISCOVER AUSTRIA has become a yearly can't miss event for the travel and tourism industry.

Flight connections between Vienna and Canada have seen a significant increase in the past year. The Toronto–Vienna leg is now served by Air Canada, and with new Boeing Dreamliners, the capacity of direct flights between Toronto and Austria has more than doubled. Simultaneously, Austrian Airlines began its direct flights between Montreal and Vienna. Thanks to this new codeshare agreement there is now a combined daily opportunity to fly non-stop to Vienna in the summer from Montreal or Toronto and five times in the winter.

Our records show an important rise in travels to Austria in the last few years: the numbers increased by 7 % in 2017 and by 8,3% in 2018, translating into a total of 155.000 travels. A further 5 % increase was expected for 2019.

At DISCOVER AUSTRIA 2020, we will hear from a range of world-renowned institutions and organizations. Representatives from our national carrier Austrian Airlines, Luxury Collection Hotel Bristol in Vienna, the Vienna Mozart Orchestra and the Museum of Fine Arts in Vienna will all be sharing their news with our guests. The mecca of ski and summer vacations, the famous Innsbruck and Arlberg regions, will also be represented at the conference. Presentations from Danube hydrofoil City Liner, and international tour operators such as Mondial Destination Management, DTS Incoming operator, and DMC Liberty International will round off the picture.
