Starting May 2024, Austrian Airlines, the flag carrier airline of the country, will begin its operations at Tbilisi Shota International Airport.

The airline will carry passengers between Tbilisi and the Austrian capital city three times a week. The flights to Tbilisi will take place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the evening and to Vienna on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays in the morning.

Austria is one of the in-demand airline markets for Georgia as for touristic but also for business purposes. Austrian Airlines would be the third airline connecting the capitals of the two countries.

Austrian Airlines, as one of the top performers in the Lufthansa Group, is Austria’s largest airline, operating a worldwide network. A special focus has been set on Central and Eastern Europe. Together with 25 other airlines, Austrian is a member of the Star Alliance, the world’s first global network of international airlines.
