A key highlight of the discussions was ANDRITZ’s significant contribution to India’s pumped storage sector, with involvement in seven PSP projects with a combined capacity of 11.4 GW, representing nearly 70% of the country’s PSP market. The company also outlined its forward-looking plans to expand manufacturing capacity by over 40% by 2028, reinforcing its readiness to support India’s rapidly growing renewable energy infrastructure requirements.
The visit concluded with an extensive shop-floor tour of the Prithla facility, providing the delegation with first-hand insights into the scale, engineering precision, and technological sophistication involved in manufacturing advanced hydropower and pumped storage components.
