Austrian Business Indicator Survey 2022 India
The most recent Austrian Business Community (ABC) Indicator Survey indicates a positive development for India as a market.
The general economic and business outlook is deemed favourable, as 60% of respondents expect the overall economic climate in India to improve. However, there also remain challenges in terms of rising costs of raw materials and the fight against corruption.
Since last year had seen the restart of negotiations between India and the EU on a Free Trade Agreement, hopes are high that such an agreement will further enhance the business and investment climate for Austrian companies in India. 73% of respondents expect a positive impact on their business if an EU-India FTA came to pass.
