Getzner Werkstoffe has expanded its presence in India with the inauguration of a new production facility in Baramati, Maharashtra, in March 2026. Spanning 4,189 m², the new plant strengthens the company's ability to serve the rapidly growing Indian rail and transit sector through enhanced local manufacturing and improved supply chain efficiency.
The facility marks a significant milestone in Getzner's commitment to supporting India's infrastructure development while aligning with the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative. By manufacturing rail solutions locally, the company aims to deliver greater customer proximity, faster response times, and sustainable growth.
The new production site reflects the successful integration of global expertise with local capabilities, further strengthening India–Austria cooperation in advanced engineering and infrastructure development.
