With an installed capacity of 3,000 MW, the project is expected to play a vital role in supporting India’s growing renewable energy ambitions by enhancing grid flexibility, energy security, and large-scale energy storage capabilities.

Developed by Torrent Energy Storage Solutions Private Limited, a subsidiary of Torrent Power, the project benefits from the expertise of ANDRITZ, which is responsible for the design, manufacture, installation, testing, and commissioning of ten reversible pump turbines, motor-generators, and associated electromechanical equipment.

The achievement further underscores ANDRITZ’s long-standing contribution to India’s hydropower sector and the country’s transition toward a more sustainable energy future.
